ABOUT ELIN

I’ve had a vivid imagination and a rich inner world for as long as I can remember. I’ve always been creative, and creating with my hands has always felt very natural to me.
 

After high school, I followed that passion and trained as a Special Effects Artist at the Nordic Institute of Stage and Studio (NISS) in Oslo. I’ve always been drawn to the process of turning an idea or character into something that feels real.
 

More recently, I found my way to creating sculptures. It became a way for me to express things I couldn’t always put into words. There’s something therapeutic about shaping something with my hands and slowly watching it come to life.
 

My work is inspired by fantasy, nature, animals, emotions and the unseen. I’m drawn to both the light and the dark (mostly.. hehe) the beautiful, the strange, the magical and sometimes the unsettling.
 

Through my sculptures, I get to give physical form to some of the characters, emotions and little worlds that live in my imagination. Each piece is sculpted and painted entirely by hand, and each one develops its own presence and energy along the way.
